Chapter History

The Beta Xi chapter of Sigma Sigma Sigma was chartered at Southeast Missouri State University on May 12, 1951. Since our arrival on campus, we have made it our goal to spread our values of faith, hope, love, wisdom, and power in both the Southeast community and throughout Cape Girardeau. 

"My short time in Sigma Sigma Sigma has taught me that there is no such things as a "sorority girl." I look around at my sisters and see a unique gathering of women with their own ideas, passions, and goals. No two women look the same, and instead of aiming for uniformity, Sigma Sigma Sigma embraces and encourages our differences. To build a wall to shut out the world, you use a tantamount of bricks. To create a beautiful image, you use differentiated puzzle pieces that fill each other's gaps. You don't have to leave who you are at the door when you're in Sigma Sigma Sigma.
